BLM LogoIn 2017, Colorado Farm Bureau passed policy to support the move of the Bureau of Land Management headquarters to the Rocky Mountain region. Senator Cory Gardner and Representative Scott Tipton introduced legislation on this issue, making it one step closer to a reality.

This policy is supported more broadly by other organizations, including policymakers living in the region–Including, Mesa County commissioners.

“It is in the best interest of counties to have the people who manage our BLM lands, and who make the decisions concerning these lands, living within the communities with high percentages of BLM land,” Mesa County’s commissioners said in their resolution and reported in a recent article from The Denver Post.

Colorado Farm Bureau supports this decision and thanks our Colorado legislators for their work on this issue.
