Tanner Anderson joined the CFB staff at the end of 2019, and while many of you have met him by now, there are likely many who haven’t. So, today is the day to learn a little bit more about Tanner. Read below the recent Q&A where Tanner shared a little about who he is and why he’s so happy to be at CFB:

Q: What is your favorite thing about Farm Bureau?

A: My favorite thing about Farm Bureau is the comradery that it creates within its membership. Farm Bureau members, regardless of what type of commodities they produce or what business they are a part of, all come together within this organization to build strong friendships and a strong unified voice for agriculture. Some of my greatest friends are ones I have been able to make through this organization and I am very grateful for that!

Q: What interested you in coming to Colorado?

A: Having lived in New Mexico my entire life, I felt like it was time for a change for myself. When I learned that CFB was in need of another director, it felt like a huge opportunity for me to shake things up, both personally and professionally. I wanted to continue to grow in my career, and I felt like CFB would provide an excellent opportunity for me to do so.

Q: What are you loving the most about Colorado?

A: So far, I love getting out and taking in all the new scenery! I have been able to travel a little bit across the state and have enjoyed seeing all that Colorado has to offer. If I had to choose, I would have to say my favorite place, as far as scenery goes, is the ice falls in Ouray.

Q: What are you most excited for in your role?

A: I’m most excited to work with our great Women’s Leadership Committee. I think that we have a great group of volunteers who want to help all Farm Bureau members become leaders and really make an impact in this state.

Q: What is something folks may not know about you?

A: I enjoy making a little bit of art here and there. Since I was six, I have played guitar and continue to play to this day when I have time. I also enjoy working with leather!
