CSU, Agricultural Business

How long have you and your family been involved in Farm Bureau?

I’ve been around it my entire life, but I myself have officially been involved for eight years.

What kind of agriculture operation are you involved in?

My family runs a cow/calf operation.

Working in agriculture not only takes an extreme amount of work, but it takes a whole lotta soul. What keeps you involved in agriculture?

I love agricultural work and enjoy trying to solve the challenges that we are met with from day to day.

What Farm Bureau committees/programs have you been involved in (i.e. YF&R, WLC, County Boards, etc.)?

CSU Collegiate Farm Bureau, Mesa County Board and YF&R State Committee

What motivates you to be involved in Farm Bureau?

It is a great opportunity to meet and become friends with other people from around the State and even around the country.

What is your favorite CFB program/event/activity that you have participated in?

Serving on the YF&R state committee.

Favorite CFB memory?

Attending the AFBF conference in Atlanta in high school when it snowed a whole 2 inches and the entire city shut down. We were stuck at the hotel.

What other leadership roles/organizations are you a part of?

I am a volunteer firefighter/EMT and a member of the trustee board for our church camp located on the Grand Mesa.

What are some of your future goals when it comes to agriculture?

To eventually take over from my dad, and run my family’s ranch .
