Women's Leadership Committee
The mission of the Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee is to develop and provide programs which will encourage women to become grassroots leaders of Colorado Agriculture. Women’s Leadership Committee members are powerful advocates for agriculture and engage in several key areas including philanthropy and agriculture education.

Colorado Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee activities include:
-
Senior Field Studies – The program places Denver area high school seniors with Farm Bureau families throughout the state for a week to get a hands-on education about agriculture and rural life.
-
Ag in the Classroom – Farm Bureau Women and volunteers help children learn the source of their food at their National Western Stock Show booth called “Great Grains”. They educate kids (and their parents) about Colorado grains and demonstrate grinding wheat into flour.
-
Foundation for Agriculture – The Committee supports and promotes programs and activities sponsored by the Colorado Foundation for Agriculture, including the Colorado Reader, Summer Ag Institute for teachers, Adopt a Classroom and other activities. Ag resources are provided to teachers and students, and presentations are given in the classroom, at water and ag festivals, Farm Days, County Fairs, etc.
-
Ronald McDonald House – Committee members support the work of Colorado’s Ronald McDonald House Charities through financial support and volunteerism.
